First off I'd like to apologize for writing this book.

Secondly… here is the presale after popular demand.

We should be coming out with the book in around 6 months.

You can pre order your copies here. Please make sure your put your address in the notes.

I grew up with the kind of Dad
who would take me to the
cottage and bring along 10
cases of beer and 10 cans of
beans. The idea was that if we
didn’t catch fish, we ate beans,
there was already a lake to
drink from so who needed
water?

He was the kind of Dad that
would drop us off for a day of
tobogganing with nothing, no
snacks, no water, just our
clothes and sleds. We would
eat snow all day for hydration
and when the sun was close to
setting he would show up in his
truck, sometimes with a dead
deer in the back or a stringer full of fish. We’d climb in and he’d do doughnuts out of the parking lot laughing his ass off, hot ashes from his pipe swirling around the cab of the truck.

This was not your conventional childhood of course, but damn it was fun. And although my Dad had an obvious drinking problem, he always more than made up for it in adventure and love.

I have many stories from growing up in the 80’s and now that I have a little one, I thought it would be fun to make some books about my childhood experiences.

It sure was different then!

• Papa brought some brewskis book

Papa and I went to the beach for the day.

Some Dads bring sand toys, sunscreen, towels, shade, snacks even water!

But my Papa brought his brewskis

Some kids ask…. Casey? What’s a Brewski?

It’s a telescope
(She looks through it)

It’s a rocket?
(She uses an empty can to fly in the air)

We play catch w it!
(Papa and Casey toss a can back and forth)

Who’s that calling? It’s Papa on the lager line!
(They both hold one up to their ears)

It can help w a sprained ankle.
(She puts it on her ankle, with papa now sleeping in his lawn chair)

It’s even taught Papa new languages!
(As Casey raises a can she says “Prost, Salud, Skal, Cheers!”

You can talk to strangers w it!
(She uses the glint from the suns reflection to get the attention of another kid)

You can have your own submarine!
(She’s under water w the can and the new kid)

They even come w cold water to drink!!
(She chews on an ice cube from the cooler and gives one to her new friend)

It’s a sinking ship!
(She sinks it into the lake and so does her new friend)

You can wake papa up w it!
(Both kids pour cold water on him from cans with judging parents standing in
the background)

And you can recycle it and get more of them… papa says the fun never ends!!
(They’re at the beer store returning the old cans for new ones)

Other kids may get toys and blankets and sunscreen at the beach… but I got my papa - and that’s all I need.
