Syd’s Salmon was started in a small Canadian town in 1986. 

 

Syd Harrison had caught a bounty of salmon from the lakes that year and was looking for an alternative to just freezing them.  He constructed a wood smoker in his backyard, experimented with a few different recipes and Syd’s Traditional Canadian Smoked Salmon was born.

 

After I moved to California, I missed my Dad’s salmon terribly, I tried every smoked salmon known to man and nothing came close to my Dad’s original recipe.  So I decided to build my own smoker and continue the tradition here.

 

Dad’s Smoked Salmon has become a tradition over the years at our house and in our town. We hope they become a tradition for you as well.

 

 

All of our fresh Salmon is sourced responsibly from the best fishmongers we can find.  Only the finest organic ingredients go into our marinade.
